Hudson River Community Credit Union's (HRCCU) Fourth

Enrichment Program which offers activities, games and crafts for
students in grades K - 5.

Angel Program
Saratoga Springs . Beginning November 15th
To kick off the holiday season, the YMCA of
Saratoga will begin its Angel Program on November 15th at
the Saratoga Springs Branch. The Angel Program is
for families in our community who need assistance with gifts for
their children for the holidays.
How It
Works
"Angels" will be displayed in the lobby of
the Saratoga Springs Branch.
Individuals and groups may choose an "Angel" card which
includes a description of a child in need and their wish
list.
Once an "Angel" is chosen, the donor takes the
card to the front desk, gives their contact information and
confirm which "Angel" they will be buying for.
All "Angels"/donors will remain anonymous.
The unwrapped gifts should be dropped off at the Saratoga Springs
Branch by December
13th. If the donor chooses, they may donate
wrapping paper and we will wrap the gifts for them.
Donors should be sure to label the gifts with their
"Angel's" number.
For more information, please contact Erin Wilkinson at 583-9622, ext.
124 or erin@ymcasaratoga.org.

Construction Begins on New Branch in Greenwich
Area youth, adults, families and seniors will have a new place to
workout, visit with friends and have fun with family-- a new YMCA is
opening soon. The YMCA of Saratoga is pleased to
announce that work has begun on the organization's newest
branch. Extensive renovations are being made on the Battenkill
Branch, which is located at 184 Main Street in Greenwich, NY.
A
ground-breaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at
2:00 p.m. The entire community is invited to attend.
"We are very excited about serving Greenwich and
its surrounding communities," said Jim Letts, CEO of the YMCA of
Saratoga. "The YMCA of Saratoga is growing and changing in
many ways. As our communities have become more diverse and the
population has shifted throughout the area, the need for services
that promote healthy spirit, mind and body has grown as well.
It is this growth that has fostered a need to reach out to our
surrounding communities."
The 8,600 square foot existing facility will include
an aerobics studio which will provide health and
wellness classes such as cycling, ZumbaTM and other
adult classes, as well as, youth-oriented classes like Kidz HipHop,
Roc-n-Tots, YogaKidz and Teen Lifting. In addition, there will
be cardiovascular and strength training equipment and a free weight
area. With the Y's commitment to family, the facility will
provide a babysitting room with supervised child care. It will
incorporate age-appropriate activities such as free play, reading or
a craft project.
"We are looking at opening the facility in
February of 2011," states Letts. The YMCA of Saratoga will
also be holding an open house in the very near future.
"Once construction nears completion, all the community will be
invited to come and see what we have to offer."
For those who are interested in more information about
the Battenkill Branch, please contact Yonka Perkins, Senior Health
and Wellness Director, at 518-583-9622, ext. 118. Beginning in
mid-December, the Y will have a representative available at the new facility
to answer questions and invite community members to join the Y.

consequences.
You can make a profound difference in the lives of
women and girls today by donating new panties. Your gift will
boost their self-esteem and help give them confidence.
Colorful panties for women and girls of all sizes are
needed. Drop off your drawers at the Saratoga Springs Branch!

each day. The YMCA is not responsible for valuables left unattended.
Mini lockers are available at some branch locations,

Activate America
Don't
Forget the Water!
Though
not nutritious in the true sense of the word, water is an ideal liquid
to give your kids at snack time. It also has no calories, but it is
still the most important substance your kids will put in their bodies.
Water is vital to life, second only to oxygen. Water makes up a large
percentage of the brain and the body itself. Since it is the primary
ingredient in human beings, it's easy to see why drinking it is
critical. You and your kids need to drink plenty of water on a regular
basis to stay healthy.
Pack
a water bottle in their lunch boxes each day to encourage this healthy
habit.
