First Night
Saratoga 5K Run
The 14th
annual First Night Saratoga 5K Run,
presented by Saratoga Arts, will be held on Saturday, December 31, at
5:30 pm. The race is limited to 1,500 registrants. Awards are
given to the top three male and female finishers, plus age category
awards. All finishers will receive a First Night Commemorative Medal.
Registration fee is $20 by November 25, and $30 after November 25.

Flu Clinic
The
Pharmacists from Price Chopper will be conducting the Flu
Clinics at our Saratoga Springs Branch on November 18th,
from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.

the Member Services Desk at the Saratoga Springs Branch (583-9622) to
make an appointment.

Weight
Watchers
To date, the
Weight Watcher's group has lost a total of 172 lbs! We meet
every week on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at the Saratoga Springs
Branch in the conference room. If you are interested in learning

2011 Holiday
Angel Program
The Saratoga
Regional YMCA announces its 2011 Holiday Angel Program. We are
accepting applications from families in need of assistance with
holiday gifts. Please stop by the Member
Services Desk of the Saratoga Springs Branch to pick up an
application, or download a copy from our website.
Let us know your child's wish list!
Applications will be accepted through Tuesday, November 1, 2011.

Member
Service Representative Positions Available
The
Battenkill, Malta, Saratoga Springs and Wilton Branches are
seeking part-time Member Service Representatives. The
candidates are responsible for providing excellent customer
service to all members and program participants. Eligible candidates
should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and
organizational skills, be eager to provide help to members when
needed, able to take initiative and problem solve, and be flexible
with scheduling needs. Customer Service experience is preferred. Must
be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
maintaining and balancing a till of money, interacting with and
answering member questions both in person and on the phone, as well
as basic computer knowledge.

including available shifts. Also, interested candidates may pick
up an application at any of the branch Member Services Desks or visit
our website to download a copy.
Completed applications may be returned to the Member Service
Desk at their preferred branch.

Night

CPR Classes
The American
Red Cross, out of Glens Falls, is now offering CPR classes to the
community. These classes will be held at the Saratoga Regional YMCA -
Saratoga Springs Branch at 290 West Ave, on the following dates:
November 8th & November 15th
6:00-10:00 pm: two Tuesday evening classes
December 18th
8:30 am-4:30
pm: one full Sunday class

to register for these classes, please contact the Glens Falls
American Red Cross office. Call 1-800-733-2767, option 5, to register
for any of these dates. The person registering should
specify the class date they are registering for.

Looking for a
Gift for That "Person Who Has Everything"?
If you are
having a difficult time coming up with a gift for the
friend who has "everything"--or if you are celebrating
an occasion with a family member, no gifts are
requested and you want to do a little something--consider making
a donation to the Y Scholarship Fund in the
recipient's name! It's a thoughtful gift that helps
others.
The Y will provide
a certificate with the recipient's name and the amount of the

School Age Program
Before and
After School Enrichment Program (B.A.S.E.)
This is a
safe, fun and reliable before and after school program for children
in kindergarten through 5th grade.This program provides your child
with indoor and outdoor play, creative arts, group games, educational
enrichment and homework assistance at various locations. The Before
School Program begins at 7:00 a.m.; the After School Program ends at
6:00 p.m. This program is located at Greenwich Central School. For

Malta Branch News
Norm's Cycle
Training class will begin Monday, November 7. The class will
run Monday-Friday from 8:00-9:15 am and Sunday at 8:00 am. The
Sunday class time will vary depending on the training schedule and
begin with two hours and work up to four hours. Norm will also
have a Fitness Cycle class on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:15 am.
The Kids
Fitness class will begin Thursday, November 3. It will be held
on Thursdays at 4:30 pm for 45 minutes and Vicki will be teaching the
class.
The Thursday
5:30 pm Step 'n Sculpt class will be changing to a Circuit Training
class until our instructor, Julie, returns.
Make sure to
check the group fitness whiteboard for any class changes and/or
coverage!

Wilton Branch News
Please note: Wilton babysitting hours have changed. Our
new hours are, Monday and Friday, from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Reservations are required by 1:00 pm on day of use.
Phase 1 of our
3 phases of construction has begun! We anticipate the completion of
phase 1 this November.

Help us to strengthen our community. Join us in
supporting the campaign for the Wilton Branch Tennis Expansion.

Mommies to Be
This low
impact class includes walking, stretching and toning to prepare the
expectant mother for childbirth and postpartum recovery. Leave your
name at the Saratoga Springs' Member Service Desk if you
are interested in joining the class.
Babysitting Certification Course
This is an
American Red Cross certification course for ages 11-15 year olds. Be
sure to bring a lunch, snack and drink because we will break to eat.
The cost of this program is $40 per person and you may register now
at the Member Service Desk.
Parents Night Out I
November 5
and December 3, 6:00-8:30 pm
Need a night
out on the town? Parents Night Out is a great opportunity to do so or
just enjoy a night out without the kids. While you enjoy a night out,
bring your kids to the Y for games, crafts and a snack. This program
is available for ages 8 weeks to 6 year olds. Please register at the
Member Service Desk. Registration closes 48 hours prior to the
program. The cost is $15 per child.

weekly grocery shopping or visit the shops downtown. We have planned
activities such as games, crafts and a provided snack. For kids ages
8 weeks-10 years old. Please register at the Member Service Desk.

cancel programs will be made by the COO. This decision is based
on the state and local recommendations that we are in a declared state
