Parents Night Out I (8 weeks to 6 years)
Parents’ Night Out is an opportunity for parents to have a night out! Bring back date night, ladies or guys night out, or movie night. Every Parents’ Night Out, children will enjoy snacks, games, crafts or movies. Please register at the Member Service Desk. Reservations are closed 48 hours prior and space is limited.

Sunday Shoppers (8 weeks to 9 years)
Are your children bored with shopping? Bring them to Sunday Shoppers while mom and dad run errands, do their weekly grocery shopping or visit the shops downtown. We will have planned activities, including outside play, craft activity and snack. Please register at the Member Service Desk. Reservations are closed 48 hours prior to each Sunday Shoppers and space is limited.

Tot Playgroups (1-3 years)
A special and fun time for children and parents, this program brings together same-age children to focus on developing socialization and cooperation skills. It includes free play and fine and gross motor skill games and activities for children to enjoy. It’s a great way for parents and children to meet new friends and interact in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Grandparents, babysitters and nannies are welcome to participate.

Friday Family Night (any age)
Come join us for a fun filled Friday night for FREE. This program includes family gym time with games, pool and track time, as well as arts and crafts in the café.

Tutoring
The Saratoga Regional YMCA offers FREE tutoring for 5th through 12th graders, based upon availability. For questions, or if interested in volunteering as a tutor, please contact Taraya Ricci at 583-9622, ext. 120 or at taraya@saratogaregionalymca.org. Dates and times will be scheduled with tutor. No tutoring during school breaks.
Babysitting Certification Course (11-15 years)
Saratoga Regional YMCA is offering this one day American Red Cross certified course. It is open to youth ages 11 to 15 and includes all materials and their certification. Be sure to bring a lunch. Participants are encouraged to volunteer for 6 hours in the Babysitting Room at the Saratoga Springs or Wilton Branches. Class size is limited to 15. Registration at the Member Service Desk is required. Please bring a lunch.

Adaptive Program
This is a program is for members with disabilities, Kindergarten-5th Grade, and their adult buddy. The program meets Saturdays to play games, make crafts, or to enjoy pool time. Registration is required.

Art Club
This program is for families looking to try their hand in the arts. Each week will focus on a different medium such as watercolors, charcoal, clay and different projects. All levels are welcome, from children who are just experiencing art for the first time to their parents who may or may not have an art background, join and have some artsy fun!

Leadership Club (Grades 6-12)
Leadership Club is one of the YMCA’s most intensive and comprehensive teen programs, providing club members with opportunities for leadership training, personal growth, service to others, and social development. Young people meet on a weekly basis in small groups, working closely with their peers and a counselor on skill- and character-building activities, as well as on planning and organizing club projects. All programs provide a safe haven for young people to become confident and competent adults with a sense of belonging in their community, and promote and enhance the personal growth and social skills of young people in order to develop leaders who will be a positive force in their communities. By connecting with adult advisors, teens have role models and mentors who can have a positive impact on their lives.

Teen Book Club (13-18 years)
This program is for teens that are looking to enjoy reading together. The first class will be spent choosing the book for the session and then the next classes will be spent discussing the progression of the book.

Saturday Night Kidz Klub (10-16 years)
Kids ages 10-16 may join us every Saturday for an evening out at the Saratoga Springs Branch. Kids will participate in age appropriate activities in the gym, fitness center, pool, track and cyber cafe. Children of all ages must be signed in and out by an adult (over 18 years of age) and there is a no re-entry policy.

Roc-N-Tots (18-24 months and 2-3 years) Roc-N-Tots offers an introduction to movement and music for growing minds and bodies, ages 18 months through 3 years. It’s a fun mix of circle songs, free dance, marching and imagination that your child will talk about all week!

Twinkle Toes (4-6 years) This class is two programs in one. Ballet fundamentals are improved, while establishing tap basics. Tap steps will develop balance and coordination. Creative movement is utilized to foster body awareness. Musical games and listening exercises help to increase rhythm. Class concludes with an in-class mini recital.

Sparkly Slippers (5-7 years) This class is two programs in one. Ballet and tap basics are advanced, as an extension of Twinkle Toes. Ballet technique will focus on more challenging movements and establishing proper dance etiquette. Creative movement and games allow improved self confidence through dance. Class concludes with an in-class mini recital.

Fancy Feet (6-8 years) This class is three programs in one. Ballet and tap movements are advanced, as a progression of Sparkly Slippers. Dancers also begin to explore basic jazz movements. Combinations, turns, kicks and leaps are taught. Class aims to promote joy of movement and improved self esteem, while teaching various dance forms. Class concludes with an in-class mini recital.

Y Rugby Y Rugby is a non-contact program designed to provide appropriate physical and technical skill development as well as introduce the tactical concepts of rugby for boys and girls ages 5-10. It emphasizes the desirable qualities of sportsmanship, fair play and safety as well as incorporating the traditional Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Y Rugby’s focus is the development of fundamental movement and fundamental sports skills. With this in mind, drills and activities have been chosen that best represent the delivery of these fundamentals. Activities include Catching, Passing, Evasion, Handling, Jumping, Throwing and Kicking.

Goju Ryu Karate Learn strength, discipline and improve balance and coordination from a Certified Goju Ryu Karate Instructor. The program is designed for participants, 8 years and older, with mixed abilities and interests in the martial arts who wish to earn promotion through their performance, attendance and testing. Fun, disciplined martial arts program for all abilities, levels and member interests.

Micro-Soccer This is a co-ed program that emphasizes participation, NOT winning, and stresses the fundamentals of soccer are stressed. Teams will work on drills, cooperation, sportsmanship and team work. Mini-scrimmages will happen throughout the session. Children should wear sneakers. Shin-guards are not required.

Mini Active Kids Club (2-3 years) Participants will experience a variety of games and activities in a small group setting to help get all their energy out! Parents are encouraged to join their child in having fun.

Active Kids Club (9-12 years) This is a co-ed program that aims to establish the habit of getting at least thirty minutes of exercise or active play a day through exercises and fun games. All physical levels are welcome. This is a great program to help children create healthy routines and live a healthy lifestyle.

Mini Shots Basketball (5 & 6 years) This program is a beginning introduction for boys and girls who are interested in basketball. The Y’s Core Values are taught each class to help teach team awareness. By use of basketball drills they will learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and build muscle memory while increasing their hand eye coordination.
