Services

Program Change Fee: Any member who wishes to change classes, for any reason, after they have already registered, will be required to pay a $10.00 service fee. This charge is per person, per program.

Guest/Daily Passes: Every full year member is allowed two (2) complimentary guest passes per year, to use at their discretion. These passes are automatically entered into our database when you purchase your membership, and are available to you at the Member Service Desk when you bring a guest with you. Additional passes for guests or program members are available at the rate of $10.00 per day for adults, $5.00 per day for youths/teens under 18 years of age and $16.00 per day for a family.

Lockers/Valuables: Lockers may be secured by members, using their own lock, while they are in the building. We strongly urge members to lock up their valuables. Locks must be removed when leaving the building each day. The YMCA is not responsible for valuables left unattended. Mini lockers are available, at no cost. For a token, please see the Member Service Desk.

Lost & Found: Please check with the Member Service Desk for any lost items.

Supervision: For everyone’s safety, children under the age of 10 cannot be left unattended in any area of the YMCA. Parents/guardians must be present with children under the age of 10 at all times, including YMCA staff-led instructional programs. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the Fitness Center unless part of a supervised YMCA program. After completing a Fitness Certification class, youth ages 10 through 13 are allowed to use the Fitness Center with supervision between 2:30 and 4:30 pm on weekdays and 11:00 am and 4:00 pm on weekends.

Health Screening: If you have been away from the YMCA due to illness or injury, you will be required to bring a physician’s note stating your ability to participate in an exercise program.

YMCA Babysitting: Enjoy a workout or take a class while we watch your child. This service is provided for YMCA members while they enjoy visiting any of our branches. Children ages 8 weeks and up are permitted to use the babysitting service. Fees are $2/hour per child, 2 hour maximum and reservations are required. Parents/guardians must remain on the premises or with a YMCA staff-led program throughout the duration of the child’s stay in the Babysitting Room.

Policies

Membership Card: All current members must have a Saratoga Regional YMCA membership card. This card must be scanned as you enter the facility. If you do not bring your card, staff will check you in manually through the computer system. If you frequently do not have your membership card, we may not admit you into the facility. Replacement cost per card is $2.00.

Membership Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel your membership you are required to submit a written notice 30 days in advance to the Saratoga Regional YMCA. Cancellation forms are available at the Member Service Desk at all of our branches. If your membership is inactive for more than 90 days, another improvement fee will apply if you decide to rejoin.

Membership Hold Policy: If you wish to suspend your full facility membership for up to six months during a calendar year, you may do so for a fee of $15.00. If you have been physically injured and/or are unable to use the facilities the $15.00 fee will be waived with a doctor’s note. We require a written notice 30 days in advance to place your membership on hold. The membership hold forms are available at all of our branches. Please provide the dates for which you want your membership on hold, and you will not be drafted for membership during that time. This does not apply to Branch Only memberships.

Improvement Fee: The $50.00 improvement fee is a one-time charge as long as your membership remains current. The improvement fee is set aside for improvements to the facility or equipment.

Returned Check Policy: If your check is returned, NSF, it may be re-presented electronically, or by any other legal method, and you will be assessed a processing fee applicable by law. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment. The check writer is also responsible for all other check recovery costs, including all attorney’s fees, court costs, and taxes.

Bank Draft Memberships: E-Z Pay draft is a continuous membership plan which will remain active until you give the YMCA a written notice 30 days in advance requesting termination of your membership. Members who have their membership fees drafted from checking or savings accounts are drafted on the 1st of the month. Members who have their membership fees drafted from credit or debit cards will be drafted on the 7th or 15th of the month. Members must be 18 years of age or older to authorize drafting membership dues. If the member is a minor, a parent or guardian must be present to sign all contracts. To make any changes to your membership or payment method, please give the YMCA a 30-day written notice. Changes can only be made by the primary member on the membership. The YMCA may, at its discretion, adjust the monthly rate applicable to your category of membership. You will receive at least 30 days notice prior to any change. Should your bank not honor your membership draft for any reason, you are still responsible for that payment, in addition to any service fee your bank may charge your account. If we are unable to draft your membership for two months, your membership will be terminated. If you wish to rejoin, you will then be required to join as a full pre-paid annual member, and to pay the past due balance.

Program Cancellation Policy: The Saratoga Regional YMCA reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any program due to low enrollment. Fees will be credited/refunded.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: The Saratoga Regional YMCA will refund your membership/program fee within three (3) days of purchase. After three (3) days, credit will be issued. Program fees are fully refundable if withdrawal from a class occurs due to a doctor’s documented illness or if the program is cancelled due to lack of enrollment. After the first week of a program, credit amounts are at the discretion of the Program Director.

Video Recording & Camera Policy: Video Recorders, cameras and any other visual recording devices are not allowed within the Saratoga Regional YMCA without the prior written permission of the Chief Executive Officer.

Cell Phone Policy: Cell phone usage is not allowed in any locker room in accordance with the Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004.
